Storyline:

Alice Ford and her friend Meg Page discover that they have each received an identical love letter from Sir John Falstaff and vow to take their revenge for the sake of womankind. Sir John is invited to visit Mrs Ford but, on learning that a jealous Mr Ford is on his way to the house, the women hide him in a laundry basket, which is then removed by servants and tipped into a pond...
